The Quezon City government has issued its guidelines to ensure peace and order during “Undas 2023” or All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 1 and 2.
According to the city government, interment operations at the city’s public cemeteries will be suspended from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, to give way to the expected influx of people for Undas 2023. The operation will resume on Nov. 3.
It said the cleaning and painting of graves and tombs will only be allowed until 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30.
The local government also released the schedule of the public cemeteries and columbarium in the city from Oct.31 to Nov. 2.
It said that Bagbag and Novaliches will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the said date while Beasa Columbarium will be closed except for the scheduled cremation activities.
It added that vendors and other micro-enterprises will be allowed to operate outside the cemeteries on Undas. They must follow the guidelines that will be issued by the city’s Market Development and Administration Department.
Visitors who experience symptoms of Covid-19 on the said dates were urged to reschedule their visit to ensure the safety of the public from the disease.
The Quezon City government said that members of the Department of Sanitation and Cleanup Works of QC and the Engineering Department already conducted clean-up operations at the Bagbag and Novaliches cemeteries.
