CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon seized approximately 800 grams of suspected shabu worth P5.4 million in two buy-bust operations on Sunday, October 22, in Metro Manila.
Rodolfo B. Rivera, 30, a suspected drug pusher, was arrested in Barangay 150, Pasay City.
Rivera yielded one brown paper bag containing four knot tied ice plastic bag containing more or less 500 grams of shabu valued at P3.4 million and the marked money used by the PDEA poseur-buyer.
On the other hand, shabu worth more than P2 million was recovered in Barangay Pembo, Makati City.
However, the operation resulted in an encounter after the drug pushers opened fire after they sensed that they were dealing with PDEA-Pampanga agents.
"The suspects immediately fled the crime scene but we were able to recover more or less 300 grams shabu amounting to P2,040,000,” said PDEA-Pampanga.
Seized illegal drugs were forwarded to the PDEA-3 laboratory for quantitative and qualitative examinations.
Rivera faces drug-related charges.
