Pembo was transferred from Makati to Taguig through a Supreme Court decision but the Makati police still have jurisdiction over the barangay.
Before the buy-bust operation, the Makati police received a phone call about an incident of indiscriminate firing in Barangay Pembo.
Members of the Comembo police substation went to the area and based on inquiry, a male suspect fired his handgun when he realized that law enforcement operatives were present. This prompted the buy-bust subject to flee the scene. Afterwards the armed personnel confirmed themselves as PDEA operatives.
The responding police officers collaborated with PDEA agents to initiate an immediate follow-up operation to go after the four suspects. However, the suspects managed to escape.
But one of them, with the alias Queendy, left behind her driver's license, which was discovered inside a vehicle that was abandoned during the escape.
PDEA agents seized three plastic bags containing suspected shabu, weighing 300 grams with a value of P2.04 million.
