Rizal drug buy-bust yields P680,000 shabu


The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) announced the confiscation of P680,000 worth of shabu from two high value individuals (HVIs) following an anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation in Barangay San Rafael, Rodriguez, Rizal.

The police identified the suspects as "Ron-ron" and "Sophia." The two are listed in Rodriguez police's drugs watchlist.

Recovered from them were 100 grams of shabu valued at P680,000 and a caliber 38 revolver loaded with live ammunition.

The suspects were transferred to the Rizal Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for drug testing and forensic examination.

The police said documents are now being prepared for the filing of charges against the suspects for violation of RA 9165 also known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002", RA 10591 or the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act", and Batas Pambansa 881, or the “Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines.”

We firmly believe that our responsibilities are pivotal in safeguarding the community against all forms of criminality," Police Regional Office Calabarzon (PRO Calabarzon) Acting Regional Director PBrig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said.
