“We are giving the assurance that we are doing everything to make sure there is an unscheduled outage or untoward outage during the election period, particularly on the day of the election,” MORE Power President Roel Castro told Reiner Layson, chief of the Commission on Elections (Comelec)-Iloilo City.
MORE Power has finished hotspot corrections for all electrical lines leading toward polling centers to ensure the absence of jumpers which often cause unscheduled brownouts as they create imbalance in the electrical load.
MORE Power ground workers are conducting clearing and maintenance operations on facilities near polling centers in all districts here.
Castro noted that MORE Power will have response and security teams deployed in polling centers. “They will be at polling centers from its opening to the canvassing to ensure a quick response if there are electrical troubles,” said Castro.
MORE Power’s Task Force BSKE will have a separate command and monitoring team to oversee electrical-related concerns.
