Metro Manila, other parts of Luzon to still experience rains — PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday, Oct. 23 said several areas in Luzon, including Metro Manila, will still experience rainy weather due to the shear line and northeast monsoon.

PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be felt in Metro Manila, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Bicol Region, and Central Luzon due to the shear line—an area where the cold northeasterly winds and warm easterly winds converge.
Cloudy skies with rains will be also experienced in the rest of Cagayan Valley, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be felt in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and Ilocos Region both due to northeast monsoon or “amihan,” PAGASA said.
PAGASA warned of flash floods and landslides in areas affected by the shear line and northeast monsoon due to the possibility of moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
The public is also advised to be vigilant against flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. (Lizst Torres Abello)
