Las Piñas LGU offers free tech-voc training to residents


The Las Piñas city government is offering free technical-vocational training to residents who wish to learn new skills or want to start their own business.

The Las Piñas City Manpower Training Center (LPMTC) said through the initiative of Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice- Mayor April Aguilar, they are offering 14 tech-voc courses for a one-month training.

Mayor Imelda said the LPMTC offers training from Monday to Friday at 7 a.m. to 12 noon, with afternoon session from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The courses include computer system operations, cookery, English proficiency, food and beverage services, housekeeping, refrigerator and air-con servicing, and shielded metal arc welding.

She said the LPMTC also offers training on Saturday -- from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m -- for electrical installation and maintenance, automotive servicing, bread and pastry, and metal arc welding.
