Newcome Nxled, meanwhile, aims to follow up its opening-day victory when it meets F2 Logistics in the 2 p.m. curtain raiser, while Farm Fresh tries to bounce back from back-to-back losses when it collides with PLDT at 4 p.m.

Chery Tiggo bared its fangs in their first two assignments, never dropping a set in whipping Farm Fresh, 24-21, 25-23, 25-22, and Galeries Tower, 25-14, 25-15, 25-21.

But the Crossovers are wary of the Akari Chargers, who are determined to regain lost bearings following a 25-16, 25-16, 25-23 loss to the PLDT High Speed Hitters last Thursday, Oct. 19, that put them at 1-1 in the win-loss tally.

Still, Chery Tiggo coach Aaron Velez is confident of his stalwarts to carry on the momentum with sisters EJ and Eya Laure bannering the crew after the duo combined for 27 points the last time.

Reinforcements will also come from veteran setter Jasmine Nabor and Shaya Adorador to fuel the squad.

Akari, meanwhile, refused to be intimidated as coach Jorge De Brito pins his hopes on Dindin Manabat and Faith Nisperos to lift the team along with Fifi Sharma, Michelle Cobb and CJ Soyud.

In other matches, Nxled hopes its weeklong respite would keep its fire burning in making an impact in the league as Japanese coach Minowa Takayuki casts his eyes on Lycha Ebon and Jho Maraguinot to anchor the crew against a veteran-laden rival.

Still reeling from a stinging 21-25, 25-20, 27-25, 19-25, 15-8 loss to Akari last week, F2 Logistics is eager to get back on track with Ivy Lacsina, Myla Pablo, Aby Maraño and Kim Fajardo at the forefront of its assault.

Farm Fresh, likewise, targets to end its two-game slump while PLDT attempts a second straight win to improve its 1-1 card.
