Mandaluyong, Pasig cops seize P618K shabu in buy-bust ops
Operatives of the Eastern Police District (EDP) and Pasig City Police Station (CPS) confiscated P618,800 worth of alleged shabu from two suspects in separate buy-bust operations in Pasig and Mandaluyong on Oct. 20.
The Pasig City Police Station's Drug Enforcement Units (CPS-DEU) identified the woman as "Kukay", 29, tagged as a high-value individual (HVI).
According to the police report, she was nabbed along Villa Reyes Street in Barangay Bambang around 7:30 p.m. where personnel of Pasig CPS DEU, Pasig CPS Sub-Station 3, and Pasig City Anti-Drug Abuse Office (PCADAO), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), conducted a buy-bust operation.
Prior to the suspect's arrest, authorities conducted a series of surveillance operations against her.
Confiscated from the suspect were 65 grams of alleged shabu worth P442,000.
Meanwhile, a man identified as "JR", 34, was arrested in Mandaluyong City.
The EDP-DEU conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bagong Silang, Mandaluyong, around 8 p.m. that resulted in his arrest and confiscation of 26 grams of suspected shabu worth P176,800.
The confiscated drugs from the suspects were submitted to the EPD Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
They are now under the custody of the Pasig and Mandaluyong CPS and will face charges for violations of Sec. 5 and 11 Art. II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

This accomplishment is indeed a solid avenue for us to intensify our maximum implementation of the Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign to fully eradicate illegal operations within the community. We guarantee to attain our aspiration and provide peace and security within Metro East," EPD Director Wilson Asueta said.
"We will continue to carry out our adherence and combat all types of illegal drug operations and all forms of criminality within the community to ensure a peaceful, crime-free, and drug-free community," he added.
