K-pop star Chanyeol to return to Manila for fan meet in December

K-pop act EXO member Chanyeol will be returning to Manila for a fan meeting that will be held in December.

Clothing brand Penshoppe announced that the Chanyeol Fanmeet in Manila is slated on Dec. 16 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Chanyeol is an endorser of Penshoppe, which announced the partnership last March.

“See you soon Philippines,” said Chanyeol in a video uploaded by Penshoppe on social media.

Penshoppe posted on X, " You heard it right, fam: TEAM #PENSHOPPE's CHANYEOL is coming to Manila! Give him some ❤️ and we'll give you all the juicy deets real soon!"

This will mark Chanyeol’s return to the country in two and a half months after he held an event last Oct. 1 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Before he debuted in EXO in 2012, Chanyeol studied English in the Philippines and said he considered staying in the country.

“Everyday,” he said in October during a press conference in Manila. “I think I've already mentioned this before even before this interview, my first foreign country to visit was the Philippines.”

“When I was in middle school, during our vacation, I came to to the Philippines for a short term study program for English and so I have a lot of memories here and it really makes me feel comfortable whenever I come here to the Philippines.”

If he was given the chance to spent a day with fans, Chanyeol said he would opt to go to an island with them.

“The first idea that came into my mind is to go to an island where there are no people, only us. And when we're there, it's going to be very chill, very free and we would go to the beach, we would go to swim at sea and we would enjoy the food. I think that's the most ideal day with fans that I have in mind right now,” he said.
