The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in a statement on Sunday, Oct. 22, assisted the second batch of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) who arrived in the Philippines from Israel.

DSWD said 18 OFWs received P10,000 cash aid along with food assistance worth P10,000 who arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Oct. 20.
"The DSWD will continue to monitor the situation of our fellow Filipinos who arrived from Israel. We will also provide other augmentation support if needed," Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications Romel Lopez said.
Lopez also emphasized that the agency endorsed them to their respective DSWD Field Offices for "possible provision of additional services."
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) also offered to ensure the welfare and reintegration of the individuals.
The DMW plans to provide livelihood, financial support, and job facilitation through its reintegration program.
Last Oct. 21, the agency said that the DSWD had assisted a total of 34 OFWs through the implementation of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
