Cloudy weather prevails in most of Luzon due to 'amihan', shear line
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday, Oct. 22 said cloudy skies will persist in most of Luzon due to the prevalence of northeast monsoon or "amihan" and the shear line.

PAGASA said Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by a shear line---an area where the cold northeasterly winds and warm easterly winds converge.
PAGASA warned the public of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.
The Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley will also have cloudy skies with rains due to "amihan," said PAGASA.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light rains will be felt in the Ilocos Region also due to "amihan."
The rest of the country with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may during severe thunderstorms. (Lizst Torres Abello)
