The Archbishop of Cebu urged Catholic educators to foster "synodality" in students' knowledge.

On Oct. 21, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) posted on Facebook that Archbishop Jose Palma of Cebu stated that for the faithful, synodality is about understanding and connecting with the experiences of ordinary people, as well as grappling with the triumphs and challenges of the Catholic Church.
"Without synodality, our language would become esoteric," Palma said.
"Therefore, to possess the qualities of a modern-day evangelizer, we must embrace synodality," he added.
Furthermore, CBCP emphasized that Catholic educational institutions are called to be contemporary evangelizers.
In urging Catholic schools, Palma said: "to explore the paths of synodality not only as a group but as individual learning institutions as well." (Erika Mariel Custodio Escover)
