Tricycle driver gunned down in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A tricycle driver was shot dead in Barangay 16 here on Friday, October 20.

Police have yet to release the name of the victim.

Police Major Elmer Bonilla, head of Police Station 1, said the victim was sleeping in his rented tricycle when a man arrived and shot him.

The victim succumbed to a bullet wound in the head, Bonilla said.

Police recovered from the crime scene a fired .380 caliber pistol bullet.

Bonilla said the victim was arrested for a drug offense and released in 2019 through plea bargaining.

Police have no lead yet on the motive of the incident.
