QCPD arrests 6 warehouse workers for stealing construction materials

Operatives of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Masambong Station (PS2) arrested six warehouse workers after they allegedly stole 13 boxes of assorted construction materials on Friday, Oct. 20.
Police said the suspects are all employees of the Optimum Prime Industrial, which is engaged in the importation and distribution of various kinds of bolts and nuts used in the construction of roads, bridges and buildings.
Based on the report, the suspects worked as warehouse men, delivery drivers, and delivery helpers at Optimum Prime Industrial Sales office.
The six suspects allegedly conspired to steal 13 boxes of assorted construction materials worth around P65,800 from the warehouse and hid them inside a delivery truck on Friday, Oct. 20, at around 9 a.m.
However, their actions were witnessed by the checker and the lady guard on duty, who quickly recovered the stolen items from the truck and sought help from PS 2.
The police operatives immediately responded and arrested the suspects.
Police said that the suspects will be charged with qualified theft before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
