Muntinlupa mayor to BSKE candidates: Don't play loud music in front of city hall, hospitals
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon appealed to candidates for the Oct. 30 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) not to play loud music in front of the city hall or hospital.
BSKE candidates have started their campaign on Oct. 19, playing their jingles on major roads to attract voters.

But according to Biazon, the loud music disrupts meetings at the city hall and disturbs patients at the Medical Center Muntinlupa, a hospital located across the city hall.
“Para sa mga kandidato na nagpapa ikot ng sound system: paki abisuhan po ang mga operator nyo na hinaan ang volume kapag dumadaan sa harap ng city hall at Medical Center Muntinlupa (To candidates who deploy sound system: please advise your operators to decrease the volume while passing in front of the city hall and Medical Center Muntinlupa),” he posted on Facebook on Oct. 21.
He added, “Nakaka istorbo po sa mga ongoing meetings na ginaganap sa city hall at nakaka istorbo sa mga pasyenteng nagpapagaling at nagpapahinga sa ospital (This disturbs ongoing meetings being held at the city hall and patients who are recovering and taking a rest at the hospital).”
Biazon also urged candidates to turn down their jingles within the vicinity of other hospitals and health centers, places of worship, schools and day care centers.
In residential areas, he said, candidates should give consideration to the hours where residents take a rest.
Biazon said this rule will also be implemented in the 2025 elections.
