An unidentified man was found dead in a pumping station at Muelle dela Industria, Binondo, Manila, on Friday evening, Oct. 20.
The Manila Police District (MPD) Meisic Station (Police Station 11) described the victim as about 35 to 40 years old, 5''5' tall, slim built, and fair skinned.
Responding police found the victim's naked body above the trash rake machine of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's (MMDA) pumping station.
A closer examination of the body showed no signs of physical or external injuries.
Based on the report, the body was discovered by Paul Flores, 31, a mechanical plant supervisor of MMDA, while operating the trash rake of their pumping station to filter the garbage passing through Estero de Binondo.
According to Flores, he was on duty around 10:15 p.m. when heavy downpour occurred, promping him to operate the trash rake. After a few minutes of operating, he noticed the man's body stuck in one of the trash rake machines.
He immediately stopped the operation and called MPD Police Station 11 to report his find.
Police are now conducting an investigation to identify the victim.
