BCDA expects surge in New Clark City's business activity

State-owned Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is expecting a surge in business activity in New Clark City following the inauguration of the Filinvest Innovation Park.

Joshua Bingcang, BCDA president and chief executive officer, said he is confident that the 120-hectare industrial spaces in New Clark would attract numerous organizations and corporations.

Acknowledging Filinvest as one of the earliest believers in New Clark City's potential as the country's next economic hub, Bingcang stated, "We are confident that in months and years to come, more locators will see the potential of Filinvest Innovation Park and the whole of New Clark City, as it boasts of a strategic location that is both resilient and connected."

The Filinvest Innovation Park, a sustainable business hub situated in New Clark City, aims to accelerate progress in the Southeast Asian region.

Recently, the park's fully equipped facilities were inaugurated as part of the BCDA's vision for a future-ready business district.

BCDA has gained recognition for its commitment to green and digital initiatives in the city's development.

Notably, the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone received acclaim as a legacy city due to its smart and sustainable design.

Bingcang said the city's well-balanced lifestyle for communities and the opportunity it offers for various innovative developments and businesses to thrive.

Moreover, Bingcang took the opportunity to brief members of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines on the developments of the New Clark project.

This effort aimed to encourage businesses, corporations, and investors to take an interest in smart and eco-friendly investments.

The BCDA's ultimate goal is to elevate Clark as a prominent economic center, effectively addressing the growing urbanization challenges faced by Metro Manila.
