The Parañaque city government distributed work textbooks to 9,300 learners of child development centers and backpacks to 50 kindergarten pupils.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said the distribution of work textbooks to 9,300 learners from 134 child development centers in the city was conducted on Oct. 17-20.

Olivarez, together with his wife Aileen Claire Olivarez and officials of the Barangay Operations Office, led the distribution.

He said work textbooks were handed to child learners in District 1 and District 2 from Oct. 17 to 20.

The mayor said the project is part of the city government's goal to give students high quality education.

Olivarez said the distribution of backpacks to 50 kindergarten students at the San Isidro Elementary School is part of the One Meralco Foundation Inc. program.

He said each backpack contains school supplies such notebooks, pencils, pencil case, and hygiene kits.
