TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the police arrested four suspected drug pushers during the implementation of search warrants for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at the Muslim Compound in Barangay Centro 10 here on Friday, October 20.
Suspected shabu and marijuana worth more than P1 million were seized from suspects Abbas Regaro, Juhayber Limpao, Norhaya Sabdula, and Ryan Regaro.
Seized from Regaro and Limpao were 24 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu weighing more or less 155 grams worth P1 million and drug paraphernalia.
Sabdula, a high-value target, yielded heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu valued at P13,600, one brick of suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops weighing half a kilo with an estimated market value of P60,000, drug paraphernalia, and a bullet.
Confiscated from Regaro was plastic sachets containing 70 grams of shabu with an estimated market value of P476,000 and drug paraphernalia.
Inventory of seized illegal drugs was immediately made at subject area duly witnessed by barangay officials and a Department of Justice representative.
Suspects face charges for violation of RA 9165 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
