2 illegal recruiters collared in Quirino

MADDELA, Quirino – Police apprehended two alleged illegal recruiters in an entrapment operation in Barangay Poblacion Norte here on Thursday, October 19.

The Police Regional Office-2 identified the suspects as Belinda Mendez, 52, and Salvador Santos, 57.

Victims Elisio A. Agduyeng Jr., Roshel C. Eugenio, Danilyn G. Co, Blessie Grace A. dela Cruz, and Jomar T. Acosta, residents of this town, lodged complaints before the police after they paid huge amount of money for the processing of their employment documents but failed to go to Canada.

Seized from the suspects were the boodle money, a cellular phone, passport, car, and a passbook.

Suspects face appropriate charges and pieces of evidence were brought to the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Quirino office for documentation and proper disposition.
