'First day of BSKE campaign in Central Luzon peaceful'

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The first day of the campaign period in the barangay elections in Central Luzon on Thursday, October 19, was peaceful, Police Regional Office-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. said.

THE Police Regional Office-3 said the first day of the BSKE campaign period was peaceful.

“From the outset of the barangay and SK campaign period until its culmination on October 28, we hope for a continued atmosphere of tranquility,” Hidalgo said on Friday, October 20.

He assured that PRO-3 is committed to implementing various security measures on the elections.

These include the Commission on Elections and law enforcement checkpoints, “Oplan: Sita,” the implementation of the gun ban, and simulation exercises.

Hidalgo said that the police, with their partner agencies, are dedicated to providing comprehensive security coverage in the elections.
