Speeding bus kills village secretary in Bulacan

A village secretary died after being run over twice by a speeding bus that bumped the patrol vehicle she was riding along Minuyan road in the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM), Bulacan on Thursday, Oct. 19.

Police identified the victim as Angelica Nofies Catague, 26, of Barangay Minuyan Uno, CSJDM.

Initial police investigation showed that the Barangay Minuyan patrol vehicle where the victim was onboard was traveling along Minuyan road when it was hit by a speeding bus.

Catague fell to the ground and was run over by the bus.

People nearby rushed and tried to help the victim but the bus quickly maneuvered back and ran over again the head of the victim.

The victim died on the spot, police probers said.

The bus driver identified as "Joseph" was arrested by the police after the people the area blocked the road that forced him to stop the bus.

Relatives, friends, and Barangay Minuyan Uno employees expressed their sympathies to the family of Catague.

Meanwhile, the family of the victim requested CSJDM residents to delete or stop uploading the video of accident because it was heartbreaking for them.
