The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has introduced the Taxpayers Registration Related Application Portal (TRRAP), offering taxpayers an electronic avenue to submit registration-related applications to their respective revenue district offices (RDOs).
Launched on Oct. 16, TRRAP encompasses a wide range of registration-related transactions.
It included applications for Tax Identification Numbers (TINs), registration of overseas Filipino workers and non-resident citizens, authorization for printing receipts and invoices, email address updates, employee registration transfers, updates for married females' maiden names.
The BIR conducted web-based seminars to acquaint taxpayers with the new registration system, guiding them through the process of accessing TRRAP to simplify tax compliance.
BIR Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui, Jr. said that "with the introduction of this new registration portal, we anticipate a significant enhancement in taxpayers' compliance with BIR's registration requirements."
