Rizal Gov. Nina Ynares, Go, and other city government officials including San Mateo Mayor Bartolome Rivera Jr., Vice Mayor Jaime Romel Roxas, and municipal health officer Dr. Nyl Jarem Amorsolo attended the ceremony.

The San Mateo Super Health Center will be built in Barangay Guitnang Bayan I. It will also house PhilHealth, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Department of Health (DOH), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) offices that are easily accessible to patients and their families.

According to Go, the super health centers feature various services to the public including database management, outpatient care, birthing facilities, isolation units, diagnostic services (including laboratory, X-ray and ultrasound), pharmacies, and ambulatory surgical units.

These centers also provide eye, ear, nose and throat care; oncology, physical therapy and rehabilitation centers, as well as telemedicine for remote diagnosis and treatment.

The senator said there are 11 other super health facilities in the province: two in Antipolo City; and one in Binangonan, Jala-Jala, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Taytay, Tanay, Angono, Cainta and Cardona.

In August of this year, Officials from the Rizal provincial government and the Taytay municipal government led the ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony of the new Rizal Provincial Hospital System (RPHS) Taytay Annex.

RPHS Taytay is a wide three-story building that enables its maximized size to feature new facilities, more wards, and up-to-date medical equipment.

The municipal government said the new infrastructure will greatly help Taytay and its residents avail of affordable and necessary healthcare services.

By building the annex, medical care for residents, provided by the provincial government, will also become more accessible to the municipality and other nearby areas like Cainta.

Prior to the inauguration of the hospital, some patients already flocked to join the ceremonies, as well as receive preliminary medical checkups at the new facility.

The facility was constructed during the term of former Governor Ynares and the 29th Provincial Council from 2019 to 2022.
