Parañaque is Top 7 finalist for Most Business-Friendly LGU Award
The Parañaque City government advanced to the final judging for the 2023 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit Award by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday, Sept. 29.

Mayor Eric Olivarez led the presentation that focused on the significant initiative of the city government under the four main criteria: fast-tracking sustainable local economic development; ease of doing business; investment promotion, and enhancing sectoral competitiveness.
Olivarez said the meeting was also attended by Business Permit and Licensing chief, Atty. Melanie-Malaya, City Administrator Atty. Voltaire dela Cruz and other department heads of the city government.
Tackled during the final judging were the initiatives being carried out by the city government under the ease of doing business, pioneering the streamlining and simplification of business permit and licensing procedure and the setting up of the Electronic Business One Stop Shop (eBOSS).
The mayor said Malaya also initiated its online services to clients in the renewal of business permits and licenses.
Also presented during the meeting were the efforts and initiatives of the city government in promoting tourism and the rich culture of the city.
The local police's initiatives in maintaining peace and order in the city were also discussed, Olivarez said.
