Manila Vice Mayor John Marvin "Yul Servo" Nieto unveiled his third solo exhibition "Directions Three" at the Manila City Hall on Monday, Oct. 2.

VM Nieto said the exhibition was called Directions Three because it was his third art exhibition.

He had his exhibition at the Pinto Art Museum last February and at the Manila Hotel last June.

Charlie Dungo, head of the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Arts of Manila, said that Directions Three is the fitting name for the exhibit because the vice mayor resides in the city's third congressional district.

The exhibit showcases artworks made from stainless steel.

It also features scenic places in Sta. Ana, San Miguel, Sta. Mesa, Intramuros, Binondo, San Nicolas, Quiapo, and San Andres.

Nieto thanked Manila Mayor Honey-Lacuna Pangan for her unwavering support for his passion for the arts.

"Hindi po mabubuo itong exhibit natin kung hindi po ako suportado ng mayor natin. Alam niyo nakakatuwa talaga itong mayor natin (We will not be able to develop this exhibit if our mayor does not support me. You know I'm really happy with our mayor)," he expressed.

He also received commendations from Lacuna-Pangan, who said that she is fortunate to have been among the recipients of Nieto's artwork.

"Tunay na malikhain ang aking vice mayor. Nakakamangha kung saan ka kumukuha ng panahon para gawin lahat ito pero sabi nila, kung gusto mo talaga ang ginagawa mo, may paraan. Hindi biro, third na ito (My vice mayor is very creative. It's amazing where you find the time to do all this but they say, if you really love what you're doing, there's a way. This has been his third solo exhibit)," she said.

The proceeds of the vice mayor's exhibit will go to the Manila City Hall Band, which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary.

The art gallery is located at the Bulwagang Rodriguez inside the city hall and will be open to the public until Oct. 13.
