What is a better way to explore Manila than to see one of its oldest districts?
German Ambassador to the Philippines Andreas Pfaffernoschke shared he had an enjoyable weekend visiting downtown Manila’s Binondo and Intramuros.

“Fascinating impressions from a Saturday in downtown Manila,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The envoy posted photos of where he went during his visit to Manila.
He shared snaps of some Chinese lanterns being sold along the streets of Binondo’s Chinatown.
There was also a photo of the Manila Cathedral, which he took from the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros.
The Palacio is home to government offices, such as Intramuros Administration, Commission on Elections (Comelec), and the Home Development Mutual Fund National Capital Region (HDMF-NCR) Office.
Another photo was of the famed Fort Santiago, one of the oldest fortifications in Manila built by the Spaniards in 1571. It was a defense fortress than was now turned into a museum and park.
