Woman's body found floating on a creek under Binangonan bridge

A lifeless body of a woman was found floating under a bridge  by residents and barangay officials of Barangay Bilibaran, Binangonan, Rizal on Tuesday night, Oct. 17.

According to Bilibaran Chief Barangay Tanod Salvador Tayamora, they received a report from residents that a body was seen near the bank of the creek bank. Other witnesses claimed that the woman was last seen taking a bath in the creek.

Tayamora said the victim was not a resident of their village but had been staying at the locality for almost a week already.

"Nakita ko na po nung Sunday ‘yun dito sa aming barangay. May sakit, parang nangisay siya tapos bumagsak siya sa may gate sa tapat ng bahay ng konsehal. ‘Yun ang hinala na may sakit na epilepsy (I saw her in our barangay since Sunday. She was sick and had convulsions and collapsed near the gate of our councilor's home. We think she is suffering from epilepsy)," Tayamora said in a TV interview.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the victim's death and her identity.
