Police not soliciting financial assistance - Pasay PNP chief
Pasay City Police chief Col. Froilan Uy bared that there are some unscrupulous individuals who are using his name on social media and soliciting financial assistance.
Uy advised the public not to entertain any individuals using his name in soliciting money through online banking apps and other social media platforms.
The city police chief said the warning was immediately issued after several reports reached his office regarding the issue.
Uy encouraged everyone to exercise caution and discretion when approached by anybody soliciting financial assistance using his name.
He also urged the public to inform proper authorities if they receive any suspicious requests from posers.
“We remain committed to serving our community with honesty and integrity. Pasay police personnel are not allowed to seek financial assistance or financial gains through social media,” Uy said.
The police also told the public to call and report to their hotline number 8831-1544 and 09568005277 once approached by any individual soliciting financial assistance.
