P442,000 shabu seized in buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Pahilanga, Barangay Miranda, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental on Thursday, October 16.

About 65 grams of suspected shabu worth P442,000 were seized from Dioscoro Gatoteo Jr., 52.

The suspect was nabbed by combined operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Drug Enforcement Group (DEG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental, and Hinigaran Municipal Police Station.

The PDEA said this operation is a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to combat the illegal drugs trade in the area and furthers the commitment to maintain the safety and security of the community.

Drug charges are being readied against the suspect.
