Fisherman missing in West PH Sea

CAMP FLORENDO, La Union â€“ A fisherman was reported missing after he failed to arrive home from fishing in the West Philippine Sea on Monday, October 16.

Police identified the missing fisherman as Gerald Rapol, 22, from Balabac, Palawan, and residing in Barangay Davila, Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.

Rafol left with two other fishermen but he failed to return home on time. His two companions returned safely.

Police said the Coast Guard, maritime police, and the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office are conducting search and rescue operations for Rafol.
