DMW sets up 24/7 help desk for OFWs in Lebanon amid mass protests
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has activated hotlines for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their relatives who are concerned of the security situation in Lebanon where mass protests are being held over the Israel-Hamas armed conflict.
In an advisory issued on Thursday night, Oct. 19, the department said the “DMW-OWWA 24/7 TASK FORCE LEBANON HELP DESK” was activated to update and assist OFWs affected by the mass protests in Lebanon.

The Lebanon Help Desk similar to the Israel Help Desk and was activated to maximize the assistance to the affected OFWs, if they need government help amid the rising tension in the Middle East country.
Thousands of Lebanese went to the streets in support for the civilians in Gaza who have been affected by the continuous air strikes by Israel in retaliation to the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas armed men.
