Cebu church official warns faithful vs buying 'naked' Sto. Niño statue
Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma on Thursday, Oct. 19 advised Catholics against purchasing statues of a "naked" Sto. Niño, which is said to bring people good luck.

Palma also warned devotees in a video message not to believe claims that the archdiocese is promoting the image.
“I didn’t bless any naked Señor Sto. Niño. The things said in the video promotion are not true” he said.
The said image of the "Sto. Niño Hubad" is being offered for free, with the exception of shipping, and is said to bring good luck.
For its part, the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu warned devotees against using Sto. Niño “pseudo accounts” on social media. (Erika Mariel Custodio Escover)
