CAMP Marcelo Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Police arrested two barangay officials in Cagayan and Isabela on Wednesday, October 18, for possession of loose firearms in violation of the Commission on Elections gun ban in the barangay elections.
The suspects were identified as alias “Bricks,” 42, chairman of Barangay Dalena, San Pablo, Isabela, and alias “Mark,” 51, kagawad (councilor) of Barangay Santor, Baggao, Cagayan.
Bricks was apprehended after he yielded 16 9mm bullets in a search warrant operation in his home.
Mark was also arrested during the implementation of a search warrant in his house.
He yielded one Armscor caliber 9mm with serial number 1128996, live ammunition, and magazine.

Suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
