P1M worth of shabu seized in Makati buy-bust op

Two individuals, including a child in conflict with the law (CICL), were nabbed by personnel of the Makati City Police following a drug buy-bust operation in East Rembo, Makati on Oct. 16.

The police identified the suspects as "Dada" 26-years-old, and Basher, 17-years-old.

According to the police report, the suspects were arrested in Makati Station Drug Enforcement Unit's (SDEU) anti-illegal drugs operation and recovered from them a total of P1,040,400 worth of shabu, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia.

Another suspect identified as "Philip" had escaped the authorities. A manhunt operation is continuously being conducted by the police for his arrest.

"Dada" will be charged with violation of the anti-illegal drugs law while Basher will be brought to the concerned agencies for proper disposition.

Southern Police District (SPD) District Director PBGen. Roderick Mariano commended the officers of the Makati City Police for the successful arrest and recovery of the said drug substances.
