CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – A New People’s Army amazon surrendered in this province on Tuesday, October 17.
Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, identified the surrenderer as “Ka Liza.”

Caballero said the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and 91st Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army conducted a special intelligence operation that resulted in her voluntary surrender.
Ka Liza was a member of the Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon (AMGL) women’s sector operating in Licab, Nueva Ecija.
She turned over a caliber .38 revolver with three bullets and a grenade.
The grenade was turned over to Nueva Ecija-Provincial Explosives Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit (NE-PECU) for proper disposition.
Ka Liza has received food packs and initial financial assistance and undergoing debriefing.
