No vacation leave for airport personnel during 'Undas' - BI
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced on Tuesday, Oct. 17, that all airport personnel are not allowed to go on vacation leave during "Undas".

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco, in an interview during the first year anniversary of the "Balitaan sa Harbor View" of the Manila City Hall Reporter's Association (MACHRA), announced that the "no vacation leave" policy will take effect on Oct. 28 to Nov. 5.
He said the policy aims to ensure that there are enough personnel to accommodate all passengers, as they are expecting a high number of travelers in both arrival and departure areas during All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day on Nov. 1 and 2.
He noted that many travelers arrive during Undas, but they are expecting more passengers as the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataang Elections (BSKE) fall on Oct. 30, which is also a holiday.
Due to the BSKE and Undas, there will be a long weekend, so more travelers are expected to go in and out of the country for a vacation.
The BI chief also said that personnel from the bureau's main office in Intramuros may also be tapped for duty at the airports.
Meanwhile, Tansingco assured all Filipinos who will be coming back from Israel that all necessary courtesies will be given to them.
He added that a special lane has been designated for the fast process of their arrival in the country.
