Monde Nissin's microbiology lab receives ISO certification
Food manufacturer Monde Nissin Corporation (MONDE)’s Quality Assurance Laboratory in its plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna has been accredited by the International Organization for Standardization / International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO / IEC).
The plant’s microbiology laboratory is the company’s first laboratory to receive the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification.
The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation focuses on assessing and testing the operational capacity and efficiency of laboratories. Facilities that are certified under this standard are able to generate wider acceptance of results with other laboratories, according to the ISO.

Chief Michelle Esteban and Ella Antonio from the Philippine Accreditation Bureau - Laboratory Accreditation Division of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conferred the certificate to representatives of MONDE.
Elvie Mensalvas, head of MONDE’s Quality Assurance Department, said the accreditation “demonstrates the world-class competency of the company’s analysts and demonstrates Monde Nissin’s commitment to consumer safety.”
"This newly awarded accreditation is a significant milestone that has far-reaching benefits for both the company and the public. It solidifies our position as a trusted player in the industry and underscores Monde Nissin's dedication to making better possible," added Mensalvas.
MONDE said it is committed to maintaining its high standard for food safety and quality. As per the company’s 2022 Sustainability Report, the plants in Laguna and Cebu are Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000-certified. The Davao plant is also ISO22000:2018-certified for its food safety management system.
