Filipino fans got a triple treat as K-pop solo artists held a show in Manila.
SHINee’s Taemin, GOT7’s Yugyeom and Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon brought the house down as they performed at the “K-Magic Live" in Manila on Oct. 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
HYOYEON
Hyo, or Hyoyeon, opened the show and performed songs including “Sober,” “Second,” “Deep” and “Dessert.”
“It’s been a while since I came here to Manila. Actually I visited Manila before for a DJ concert. I actually released the song ‘Picture’ and I performed some songs. I wanted to visit here and perform ‘Picture’ for my Sones in Manila,” said Hyoyeon.

She added, “It’s been such a long time but I visited Boracay for like two weeks and the memories were so wonderful.”
Fans joked that Hyoyeon should visit their homes after the show but she said, “Actually I want to have enough time after this schedule but I have an America tour scheduled after this.”
“Tonight I’m going back and I don’t have enough time but next time, I’ll make sure that I have enough time to visit your house,” Hyoyeon said in jest.
About returning to the Philippines, she said that “if there is an opportunity I’ll definitely come back.”
Hyoyeon debuted in Girls’ Generation in 2007 and released her solo album “Deep” in May 2022.
YUGYEOM
The “K-Magic Live in Manila” was GOT7 member Yugyeom’s latest gig in the Philippines. He’s been to Manila a few times for shows.
“Magandang gabi, Philippines (Good evening, Philippines),” he greeted the crowd.
He performed “Hard Carry,” “Say Nothing,” “LOLO,” “I Want U Around,” “All Your Fault,” “Take You Down,” “All About U,” “Love the Way,” “Always Ready,” “Say Nothing,” “Ponytail,” “Who You” and “119.”
In August last year, he held his “Yugyeom: Live in Manila” show at the New Frontier Theater.

TAEMIN
SHINee’s Taemin was the final act of the night.
At the shows, he performed songs such as “Move,” “Criminal,” “Advice” and “Hypnosis.”
Taemin debuted in SHINee in 2008 and as a solo artist, he has released many albums including “Advice,” “Want,” “Press It” and “Move.”
“Nice to see you guys,” said Taemin, whose last visit to Manila was in 2017.
“It’s been six years … so I felt sorry. What I remember about the Filipino fans is they’re so passionate and they are so energetic. Whenever I come here with SHINee as a group, we were so happy with you passionate cheers,” he said.
About being called the “idol of idols,” he said, “I think it’s such an honor that I inspire other artists.”

He is set to release his new album “Guilty” on Oct. 30.
“I’ve been busy preparing for my album ‘Guilty’ and seeing you guys here, I’m being energized,” he said.
Taemin also revealed that he has been preparing for a concert and will announce the date later.
“I’ll make sure that if there’s an opportunity to come back with SHINee members, I’ll be back,” he promised.
