Kapuso celebrities Pokwang and Glaiza De Castro quickly bonded while shooting their debut movie together, "Slay Zone" produced by Wide International.

Nanginginig ako!" said Glaiza, who plays a social media influencer in the upcoming film, during an interview for "24 Oras" on GMA Network recently.

(It's surreal. Until now it didn't seem to sink in until I saw Mamang (Pokwang) at our story conference. Then, when I had her in the scene, oh my gosh! I was shaking!)

Pokwang, on her role as a policewoman, said: "Dream come true na mag portray ako na isang pulis. Sa Hollywood nga di ba, three months before or six months before the shooting, halimbawa ang role nila ay strip dancer, pumupunta talaga sila sa club at pinag-aaralan talaga nila.

(It's a dream come true to portray a policeman. In my interviews before, I said that I wanted to be a policeman, I wanted to be a soldier. Now it happened. As actors, it is our responsibility to study our character. In Hollywood right, three months before or six months before the shoot, for example, if their role is a strip dancer, they really go to the club and they really study their character. So here in the Philippines, we also have to study our role. Maybe I'll hang out at Camp Crame first. But maybe I'll talk to my police friends for character preparation.)

The popular comedian also mentioned that she never fails to arrive on the set on time.

Huwag kang mag-aalala direk, masunurin kami," Pokwang also said.

(I'm always early. That's true. For example, the call time is 6, I'm already there at 5. I'm already helping with the set. I'd rather be waiting than being stressed in traffic. I'm happy with just coffee. Don't worry, Direk, we'll be obedient.)

Aminin n'yo yan!" (It's also challenging for me. Now I work with Glaiza, and her scenes in the teleserye are always trending. Admit it!)

Glaiza and Pokwang admitted they became instant best friends in their first project together, directed by Louie Ignacio.

"We are not doing comedy here. The scenes are challenging, and this (Glaiza) is a beautiful child. Her eyes are beautiful.)

Glaiza added: "Napaka-alaga niya at ang dami niyang baon. Ang sarap ng mga kuwento niya. Ang dami niyang baon. Meron siyang parang magic box."

(She is very caring and brings lots of food on the set. She tells us many interesting stories. She has a magic box.)

Both stars also expressed excitement about promoting the movie on several TV programs.

"Tawiran kami (sa mga TV shows). Exciting!" said Pokwang.

Glaiza added: "May opening number kami sa mga TV shows."

Director Louie Ignacio said he is excited to work with Pokwang and Glaiza on one project.

"Excited ako dahil first time ko makatrabaho si Mamang.

(I'm excited because it's my first time to work with Mamang. Glaiza and I have been talking for a long time. I said we should make a movie and it has always been like that. It's my dream to work with them because aside from their track record in the industry, they're good actresses, it's a big relief for a director to be able to work with great ones.)

Excited sobra," Louie added.

(Mamang and I, we see each other almost every week. But haven't worked together yet so I'm excited about how to work with her. So I want to discover how good they are when I handle them. I'm very excited.)
