Muntinlupa LGU assists fire victims

The Muntinlupa City government provided help to 11 families that were affected by a fire in Alabang last Oct. 15.

A man was injured in the fire that happened at 7C Ilaya in Alabang, according to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station.

Mayor Ruffy Biazon visited the families on Oct. 16 and said that the city’s Social Services Department provided assistance to them.

Among the items given to families were family kits, kitchen kits, sleeping kits, food relief and hygiene kits. The mayor said financial assistance for the families is being processed.

The mayor said based on a report, the fire started from a mosquito repellent device, which was left unattended.

Nakakalungkot, pero thankful ako na wala namang seriously injured sa kanila (It’s sad but I’m thankful that no one was seriously injured among them),” Biazon posted on Facebook.

The fire station identified the injured as Dennis Guntang who suffered burns in the left arm.
