President Marcos has appointed Brig. General Jesus Nelson Morales of the Philippine Air Force as the new commander of the Presidential Security Group (PSG).

Morales' designation was announced by Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Gararil on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
He will replace Brig. General Ramon Zagala, who was appointed to the position in July last year. Zagala, on the other hand, will move to a new role in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
"Zagala will assume his new role as Commander of the Civil Relations Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines," Garafil said.
Morales was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in August 2023.
