Man nabbed for carnapping delivery rider's motorcycle, gun ban violation

CAVITE – Authorities arrested a man for allegedly carnapping a motorcycle and violating the election gun ban in Dasmariñas City on Monday, Oct. 16.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the arrested suspect as alias Romnick.

Initial investigation showed that alias Romnick and his cohort, alias Katol, stole a delivery rider’s motorcycle parked in front of his house.

The rider immediately sought help from roving barangay public safety officers, who chased the suspects. Authorities collared alias Romnick, but alias Katol managed to escape.

Confiscated from alias Romnick’s possession were a short firearm replica and a foldable bladed weapon.

The arrested suspect is now under the custody of the Dasmariñas City Police Station.
