LTO fast-tracks digital shift for car registration, driver's license application
Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Vigor D. Mendoza II ordered on Tuesday, October 17, all the agency’s regional offices to fast-track the implementation of the online registration for vehicle registration and license application.
Mendoza said the move is part of the efforts of the agency to go full digital, which it said, will discourage its clients to tap the services of fixers.
“We are now expanding the online registration to make it more easy and comfortable for all our clients. This is both for vehicle registration and license application,” said Mendoza.
Mendoza said this would also be done when it comes to the online procedure of applying for driver’s license.
“We can send the license via courier,” Mendoza said.
