Israel to extend assistance to families of OFWs killed by Hamas
Israel will be providing assistance to the families of three overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), who were killed during Hamas' surprise attack on the country.
The Israeli Embassy in the Philippines said Tuesday, Oct. 17, that Ambassador ilan Fluss met Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo to assure that his government will help in bringing home the remains of three caregivers, who were among the thousands of fatalities in Israel.

The Israeli government "will extend assistance to the bereaved families," the embassy said, adding that Fluss assured Manalo that Israel "is doing its best to ensure the safety of the Filipino community in Israel."
During their talk, the two diplomats discussed designating Hamas as a terrorist group by the Philippine government—like what the US, Japan, UK and the European Union, among others, did in the past.
They also talked about current developments in the war and the repatriation of affected OFWs.
