AirAsia ensures smooth travel for 'Undas'

Low-cost airline AirAsia Philippines has prepared to ensure passengers have a seamless travel experience during “Undas” season.

According to the airline, over 65,000 travelers have booked more than 700 flights scheduled between Oct. 28 to Nov. 2 to domestic destinations including Caticlan, Cebu, Tagbiliran, Tacloban, Davao, Puerto Princesa, and Iloilo.

It also observed an increase in international travel particularly to Incheon, South Korea; Taipei, Taiwan; Osaka, Japan; Narita, Japan; Hong Kong, China; and Bangkok, Thailand due to the extended holiday period.

AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Country Head First Officer Steve Dailisan said the airline is “more than ready to accommodate the greater influx of travelers” during this peak season.

He shared that the AirAsia team has registered 97 percent in their On-Time-Performance rating over the past weeks.

“We have enough manpower to meet increased operational requirements and augmented Customer Happiness helpdesks at the NAIA Terminal 2. Our guests can count on our very reliable Allstars team which observes the highest standards of safety inflight and on the ground,” Dailisan said.

The airline said it has 20 check-in counters at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 ready to serve passengers.

For those who want to avoid the long lines at the counters, self-check-in kiosks are also available and accessible via the AirAsia Superapp.

To provide more services to customers, AirAsia announced that it will inaugurate a new ticketing office at the NAIA Terminal 3 this Wednesday.

“Additionally, to ensure the continued safety and swift travel of our guests, the airline continues to coordinate and align its efforts with our regulatory partners at the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP),” Dailisan added.

In anticipation of the crowds at the airport this Undas, the airline is reminding guests to arrive at NAIA Terminal 2 or 3 hours before their departure time in order to complete their check-in process.

Travelers are also advised to monitor updates and travel advisories, guidelines, and review their booking options via the Superapp, the official website, or its social media platforms.
