Semana de Cine Argentino opens with an Oscar-nominated feature

The Ambassador of the Embassy of Argentina in the Philippines, H.E. Ricardo Luis Bocalandro, led the official opening of “Semana de Cine Argentino 2023” held last Sept. 27 at the Premiere Theater of the Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong.

The cocktail reception was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, friends of the Argentine Embassy, as well as by partners and sponsors of the film festival. A special screening of the Oscar-nominated historical film “Argentina, 1985,” directed by Santiago Mitre, followed.
