Ticket bought in Cavite yields new millionaire

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Monday, Oct. 16, announced that a lone bettor from Silang, Cavite, bagged the P147.3 million Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot.

The winner correctly guessed 47-35-02-13-38-17, with a jackpot amount of P147,354,716.40 last Oct. 15 evening draw.

However, PCSO added that since the jackpot prize exceeded P10,000, it will be subject to a 20 percent tax deduction under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law.

Moreover, under the Republic Act (RA 1169) or the PCSO Charter, if the jackpot prize remains unclaimed, it will be forfeited and will go to the PCSO Charity Fund.

The Super Lotto draw is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
