Teacher dies as motorcycle falls of cliff in Danao City

CEBU CITY – A 27-year-old teacher died after the motorcycle she was driving fell off a cliff in Danao City, northern Cebu on Sunday, October 15.

Police identified the fatality as Franz Marie Duterte Roble.

Roble was with 36-year-old sister Gerly as her back rider when the accident happened at 11:20 a.m. in Sitio Langub, Barangay Guinacot.

Police Sgt. Ronald Gomez of the Danao City Police Station said the victim lost control of the motorcycle while they were traveling on a curved and downhill portion of the road.

Gomez said the motorcycle plunged into a four-meter deep cliff.

The two siblings were rushed to the hospital where Franz was declared dead by attending doctors, police said.
